At some point, if you're lucky, you have that moment of "its time."
It's time to stop just making do and bring to life your vision for a practical and safe barn that feeds your spirit. When you're able to do that, you've made it.
The owner of this barn was able to customize the design to her hearts content, creating the perfect environment for her horses and lifestyle. The three box stalls are surrounded by 8' tall walls, covered in a double layer of white oak cut off boards. She chose Country Club Stall Fronts attached to posts in the ground. The stalls are partitioned by Country Club Stall Dividers which allow the horses to see and smell each other, but create a division. The stall dividers are removable to create a larger stall as well.
This stall design gives a sense of freedom and security simultaneously.
Customization is the name of the game.
Another style of stall door that you will see is the Cowboy Stall. This was requested for a small room that can be used smaller livestock (such as pigs or goats) or for storage.
While this barn was the owners vision, it was designed for the comfort of the horses. Across the aisle from the stalls is an open run-in stall that is attached to a drylot. It doesnt get more convenient than this.
The basis of this barn is function, but you cant help but notice how pretty it is too. Every wall is covered in a double (or triple!) layer of white oak. Each piece is beveled on all four sides and securely attached on each end. White Oak is naturally no-chew, incredibly hard, and moisture resistant; a perfect fit for a horse barn.
In Progress
The magic is in the details.
This property does not have a suitable spot for an arena, but a 60' round pen fits perfectly.
