Shipping is one of the harder aspects of our business. Moving white oak lumber and manufactured equipment is expensive because it is not only bulky, but also heavy. We try to keep the costs low while still maintaining speed and efficiency. Please read below to understand how our shipping works.
Orders over $7,500 or advertised as Ships Free
We will arrange delivery, at no cost to you, to the entirety of the lower 48.
Orders between $2,500 and $7,499
A simple flat rate is applied to the order total to cover shipping costs. We have determined the rate by the destination state. There are several factors that affect the actual cost of shipping including mileage, access, and the popularity of shipping in and out of an area. You are welcome to arrange your own shipping as well, just choose Pickup at Shop when placing your order.
Orders under $2,500 and not advertised as Ships Free
These orders are Pickup at Shop only. This can mean picking up yourself or arranging to have the order picked up by a professional shipping company. We will palletize if necessary and load the order onto the truck at no cost.
If interested in delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, or internationally please call Steve at (952) 232-7115 or email us at info@greatoakequine.com
Most freight is shipped on 48-53' semi-tractor trailers using professional, insured haulers. If the delivery destination is unable to accommodate the access needed for a tractor trailer, please let us know upon time of order. We should be able to arrange for a "hotshot" which is a pickup truck and trailer. There may be an additional fee for certain destinations.
It is the customer's responsibility to unload the trailer upon arrival. A forklift, tractor, or skid loader with pallet forks is recommended for convenient removal. If you do not have this equipment, most rental centers will offer adequate equipment by the hour, day, or week.
